Teacher of The Year

Mr. Eli B. Atlas, Law Studies/6th Grade Science

Mr. Eli B. Atlas has been teaching at Nova Middle School for five years.  “I was ecstatic,” says Atlas about his recent honor of being named Teacher of The Year.  Mr. Atlas says, “Nova Middle School is the best school in Broward County,” and he admits that his friends agree and would like to work here, too.  One of the things that Mr. Atlas is most proud of is being involved with the Law Program here at Nova Middle School.

We are lucky to have Mr. Atlas!  Congratulations!

Ms. Peggy Breland

Ms. Peggy Breland has been working here at Nova Middle School for 16 years. Just coming here to work is so much fun," says Breland. “Ms. Breland is a true team player. She always goes above and beyond to get tasks done,” said Nova Middle School teacher, Ascellia Arenas.

Congratulations on a job well done!

Regular student attendance is important for student learning and progress throughout the school year. The state's financial support for schools is also directly linked to student attendance. Absenteeism hurts our students and hurts our schools. When students are absent they miss out on learning opportunities, can fall behind academically and our schools lose funding. To ensure our attendance records are counted for maximum state funding this school year, please ensure your child attends school each day October 12 -16, 2015. Please make sure that you do your best not to schedule any appointments during those 5 important days.  Thank you for supporting your child's education.
